DaddyCheese will likely be able to restore everything to how it was before the crash, but in the meantime, we are trying to get things going manually. If they are not able to restore anything, we'll continue fixing things manually like we are now.

Googling, found this: DO this: Server Directory>Plugins>Towny>Data>worlds.txt

Make sure your world name is listed here. Then: Server Directory>Plugins>Towny>Data>worlds>

Find the .txt file for your world. Edit it so that it is formatted correctly.

If you don't know how, just google it. No need for me to repost anything.

Then save the file, make sure the worlds.txt and your save folder itself all correspond. Reload and try it. Hopefully, this will work. -Z.

And can't somebody else that is trusted by beld(you) have access to the console if he gave you the user/pass?

Sadly, I do not have the access to these things. Hopefully Jonas will be able to do this at some point.

I don't understand why the server is kept online when the problem is still there. Put it offline when it isn't working.

Wait........ If the server is offline, but people can go on, are you sure its the real server? Didn't you have to restart it a bunch the other week because someone was copying it?

Someone just stole our IP. but the server's the same. It's just a strange behavior I close the server and it stays closed for a few minutes. Then it turns itself on.

Yeah, i just logged on a few minutes ago, it worked and my town was there but none of the commands worked, like global chat or warps. Some other guy was on too his ign is Vencyris. So i guess its not offline. Ninjascorpion got on yesterday too i think, he bugged out and suffocated in a wall.

I'm not accusing anyone, but I wonder if this Vencyris guy did it, i've never seen him on before so I'm not one to judge but just a guess.

I may know what it is. My server just had this issue, the towny plugin is messed up for some reason i think, i just got rid of it on my server, but doing that on this server would be chaos. Also just noticed /home and /marry home still work.

I think you guys just closed it for maitanence i think its working i cant join

ssolos during the time the server was and is down, your town may have run out of money, its 5000 a day to keep it up and it must be deposited into the town bank, dont worry you will get your town back

The server seem to still have problems. The same crash just happened now.

great :affraid: , have you figured out the problem? Like Josh and me said it may be with towny, also I think there is a new build out for the server, you should look into that if you haven't already.

At 3:44 EDT, I found that the server is on again. I was suffocating in the ground and dug a hole. I was able to free myself. The only problem is that the /warp, /town spawn and shout commands do not work with a message appearing saying
"You do not have permission to use this"
or something like that.
I saw one other person online.

^I dont recognize the name and forgot it. Just dig up or down to free yourself from suffocating.

Here's an update for you:
The problem that caused the crash should be fixed now. There are still lots of problems on the server right now even if you can get in. We are waiting hopefully on DaddyCheese to restore everything on the server to how it was back before the crash. If they can't do this, then we have a lot of things to fix!

So, you can get in now, but don't do anything too useful. When everything is back to normal, I'll post a new thread which will appear on the forum frontpage saying it's fixed.

In the meantime, we're waiting for the server host, DaddyCheese.

Good time for me to be going home for 3 weeks then hope this gets fixed soon!
