About server crashes.

We are, as we all know... experiencing Server crashes.
Every Bukkit user is having the same trouble so all we can do is be patient.
One thing that certainly is annoying is that there are some block and inventory rollbacks, even inventory wipes!
There's no logs on what the users had which is really frustrating for even us staff members.
At the moment, try not to carry all your most valuable stuff in your inventory! Store your items with an LWC chest!
I have lowered the backups to be issued from 60 minutes to 30 minutes because of this problem.

When I get this error
java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
is it because the server crashed?
Or is this something else?

its when the server crashes or it gets restarted/turned off for a short time without a warning .
